The list of Mr.B

By Samuel Wearne and Sean Williams

The first on the list

The list I can see

Was a man who made sounds so pretty

On his trumpet from dawn until dark

Warm and lush as a cake

Teaching all those young kids

One practice I asked Mr B. what next should I do

Play on my own?!

I’m no loner!

I’ll go tell Ms Pero

I can play all the staves

Before she goes on one of her longish rants

Playing for the music school

Nerves make me play slightly sharpish

Crowd stares, listening, attentive:

They make me sweat as I sit and as I play I’m off the note…

During the exam I feel quite shy

I’d better pass for my sake

What pressure I saw

I think I’ll draw lots

I realised my fears

I think I’ll fake a virus

I am happy…kinda

While in band (the tour’s main)

We played a hard piece; quite a killer

The song was absolute torture

Jump in mud

Time of our lives

Band is a real high

Long weeks of toils

Round the turn

With every one in the bus

We will all play our worth

Now it’s time to see

More playing

At the new years crown

The list of Mr B.
